HD Property Management was created to meet a genuine need in the Taranaki property management market — our own.

We’re landlords and investors who work in the property industry ourselves. To make a long story considerably shorter, after one too many underwhelming experiences with property management, we decided to raise the bar ourselves.

We’ve built our careers in property and our reputations in Taranaki. We’re proud to share the same DNA as well-respected registered property valuers Hutchins & Dick.  We share offices, overheads and values, but remain 100 percent independent — focused solely on optimising long term returns for HD Property Management clients.

We’re intentionally different to other property managers. There aren’t any tricks or trade-offs behind our market-beating flat-fee. We’ve created a business model that encourages longer term thinking and aligns our best interests with yours. While others make money every time your tenant leaves, we’re incentivised to find high quality, high value tenants who stay longer.

In an unregulated industry we value professionalism. All our property managers complete the NZ Certificate in Property Management and have extensive experience and expertise in the property sector.  We are committed to best practice, take the time to do things the right way every time, and invest in our people, processes and systems — like the industry-leading onboarding software we access via our elite partnership with NZ Tenancy.
